Started in Compliance engineering on user screening and fraud prevention, then moved into core platform work as parts of the system transitioned to a microservice architecture.

• Built and maintained user screening flows in the Compliance domain: KYC onboarding, identity verification through third-party IDV providers, and bank account detail lookups.
• Implemented blacklisting and risk rules across users, cards and countries, balancing fraud prevention against false positives that block legitimate customers.
• Integrated external verification and screening providers, handling partial failures, retries and inconsistent responses without blocking onboarding.
• Moved into platform work on the remittance core, helping transition parts of the monolith towards microservices.
• LAMP stack (Laravel and Symfony), with distinct separation between Application, Domain, Framework and Infrastructure layers.
• Domain-Driven Design and Test-Driven Development, applying established design patterns and principles.
